Winter Sip and Write

Join us on December 14th, 2021 from 7 PM to 9 PM this winter for a cozy abolitionist letter-writing party. As the weather gets colder and capitalism reaches its yearly out-of-control peak, it might feel especially lonely, or sad for people who are locked up. Even when that is not the case, sending and receiving mail is exciting and fun and is one reliable way to break the many barriers between prisoners and people on the outside. Black and Pink have been hosting a yearly holiday card writing for nearly 15 years now, and following the formatting that they use, Queers For Justice (through the Newburgh LGBTQ+ center) is teaming up for the third time with Black and Pink to get some good winter-loving to those who are incarcerated. Join us via zoom, in your PJs with a warm drink and we’ll spend time together, writing letters and listening to a Queers for Justice playlist just for the event!
