Join us on December 10th, 2022 at The Newburgh Free Library from 12-4 pm for a cozy abolitionist letter-writing party. As the weather gets colder and capitalism reaches its yearly out-of-control peak, it might feel especially lonely or sad for people who are locked up. Even when that's not the case, sending and receiving mail is exciting, and fun and is one reliable way to break the many barriers between prisoners and people on the outside. Black and Pink have been hosting a yearly holiday card writing for nearly 15 years now, and following the formatting that they use, Queers For Justice (through the Newburgh LGBTQ+ center) is teaming up again with Black and Pink and with The Newburgh Free Library to get some good winter-loving to those who are incarcerated. Join us as we spend time together writing letters, listening to music, and eating and drinking yummy treats!" (tag Black and Pink and Newburgh Free Library)
